Just Askin': How Would You Fix SL's UI?

Second Life Insider

Jul 3rd 2007 8:08AM I don't agree. I think Lindens Interface is not ugly. Actualy I think it's pretty. The thing is that Second Life is a complex application and I believe that it's hard for people that are not used with Internet and Computer Applications to use it. Thats not a problem of UI appearence or design. Before using an application the user should read carefuly it's documentation. If the user does that, there will not be any problem at all. Only a question of time. A learning curve.

Jun 18th 2007 7:07AM I think this letter is very well writen and it represents very well what I think about what the SL Comunity should be
I signed this petition and I would like to see the petition sign number increase largely
I think that if this letter was seen buy a large number of SL users, the sign ups for this petition would increase in number of thousands
Freedom shall always exists in RL or SL and when that freedom is in danger we have to act and we cannot stand without doing nothing and with our mouths shut
Peace!

Jun 12th 2007 9:39AM LOL I remember that during the time I experienced the Teleportation problem, I got emprisoned in a far away Island that I was never been before for 4 hours aproximately. It was more fun that in that Island exists a club, and specialy, in the day I got emprisoned there, it was closed because one of the staff members of that club married in that day LOL. There was a sign at the entrance stating that. Well, now it makes me laugh but in that time I was almost desperate because I couldn't catch my friends.
About Linden's work I agree with the things that were written in the blog post. I know that is hard to solve this kind of problems because I'm a senior developer in RL. It's sad when this problems occur for people that are using SL but we have to be patient because it's a really hard job for the guys that have to fix it and sometimes one problem when not well solved brings other problems like it seems to have happen. Very complex stuff. About feedback of Linden's I agree with the post, I would like to know the technical aspects of the problems. I think they could give information related to that in a special place for people that are connected with development or have the ability some how of technicaly understand that kind of stuff but, we also have to understand that for Linden's that can bring Security Issues to SL, for example: Exploits of problems that SL may have. Linden's also may not want to give information because some things may have to do with things that they have developed and they not want no one to know because of business competitivity with other companies. Well, thats all.

Jun 12th 2007 8:48AM I'm both in SL
I don't bring my RL to SL but my attitude, behaviour and the way I comunicate with others and do things are of my own soul. For me that's the magic of SL and that's why it is so addictive
