Jun 26th 2007 4:24PM This is a big can of worms. The CEO, the Board of Directors, the Govna, the Mayor, should have been arrested with the doctor and nurses as they are just as responsible.
So HOW do you move a 300lb man up emergency stairs!?!?!?
How do you keep life support on patients when the hospital you work for has NO CLEAR GUIDELINES?
How do you keep everyone stuck in that hospital cared for when you have no a/c, running water, electricity?
Yes the BOD and the CEO are the real people at fault, they had no plan, much like our local and state government!
Makes me sad and scared as hell now to be a nurse. Now to add insult to injury most hospitals are requiring nurses to sign that they will show during emergencies (ie hurricanes) just so these hard working men and women can be, what, charged with murder because of CORPORATE GREED?
Talk about damned if you do or don't!
