WSE Hacked?
Second Life Insider
Jul 24th 2007 11:53PM But, what connection is there between the missing funds, and the users/investors funds that are currently in users accounts, and invested in stocks on the WSE??
How might this loss of funds effect users funds on the WSE??
I personally think that the WSE is one of the best opportunities on the internet, for high-speculation stocks. There is high-potential for gains, and there is high-potential for loss on the WSE currently.
It is similar to gambling, but I think the WSE offers better odds than most gambling places. Usually, you will not lose all your money, unless you put it all on one stock that goes out of business or gets delisted, or whose owners simply 'vanish'.
I am hoping that WSE is made ever more secure, and that more real-life companies might be given opportunities to list on WSE, too. For many small companies in the world, it might be beneficial to have a division of their real world company listed on a stock exchange like WSE. AT least for any monies exchanged in regards to SL. I think this is just a temporary glitch, and stock exchanges in sl, will likely continue to exist, now that stock exchanges have had some success.
There is money to be made, and it is lawful.
