i have been a follower of your blog since i was first diagnosed with breast cancer early this year. certainly, in the first few hours and days after that fateful day, i was inconsolable and desperate. i was extremely worried and afraid of the unknown. i think my turning point came when i decided to accept this new episode in my life as an opportunity to learn and improve my lot. i would like to think that my renewed zest for life today and my resolve to survive stem from the realization that indeed, cancer, much like anything else in life can be received as a gift.
thank you for giving a voice to cancer that is realistic but at the same time, uplifting. who knows if optimism can in fact lengthen our days. but the great and wonderful truth is that when we choose to adopt an attitude of gratitude, we do make the quality of our lives, and the lives of those we love, better.
