World's Greatest Rope Jumper Manages Six Rotations In One Jump
Fanhouse Backporch
Aug 20th 2007 2:17PM While I'll concede that this one trick is extremely difficult, I wouldn't be so quick to proclaim him the world's best rope jumper. There is much more to jump rope than just being able to do amazing tricks in isolation. I've done a sextuple before, and I'm by no means even close to being the world's greatest jumper. Instead someone who is well rounded in all skills including single rope, double dutch, Chinese wheel, and long rope would be a better candidate for world's greatest jumper. Names like Nick Woodard or Timothy Martin (both on the USA Jump Rope All Star team) immediately jump to mind.
Exercise of the Week: Jumping Rope
The Cardio Blog
Jul 28th 2007 10:34PM Good post. I agree... Jump Rope is a great exercise. You don't have to limit yourself to just basic jumps. One of the things I love about it is that there are literally thousands of tricks you can do so there is always a new challenge. It never gets boring. Jump Rope is actually an organized sport that will be in the Olympics some day.
