Aug 17th 2007 9:23AM I was at the event too and SL Voice worked just perfectly for me. Maybe it was your volume controls that gave you the fade in and outs. I am glad we used the voice, Skype has worse problems...like...why were they down all day yesterday?
As for Gartner...well...I think my cohorts above have stated it quite nicely.

Really? I have had nothing but a good experience. No dropping and good quality. Same with the people I have been talking to. And I have been bouncing around regions. Heh. I am still liking it.

Aug 5th 2007 11:07PM The voice feature has been working great for me and I am not surprised by the maintenance. Any new tech launch with such a big user base will require tweaking.

Aug 5th 2007 11:04PM Voice is going to give the community a larger palette to choose from when communicating within the world. It's not just about chatting - it's about educating, enriching. Live voice will bring that much more to the world. It has been working great for me and I think noble step for Linden to take in furthering the path of the web.
