Mar 14th 2008 11:16PM Ah, this really brings back memories for me. ^.^ My rezz spot was Luna Oaks.
(Is it that way for everyone?)
How many times do you have to prove it?

Mar 12th 2008 12:53AM I am not a child avatar, but it saddens me greatly to read this. You should be free to have any avatar you want. You shouldn't have to prove your age at all in my opinion, let alone three times.
No one has ever reported me for being underage, because I am tall. But I have not verified my age. Saying a child avatar is likely to be a real child is ridiculous. That's like saying everyone in RL under 4 ft is underage. It's very unfair.

Dec 26th 2007 9:01PM I have to admit that I do think video games can cause violence... I think you have to play a *lot* though, and especially play games that reinforce evil acts, but I do believe it is possible. It is up to parents to make sure their kids don't play too much, or don't play the worst games. If they have an aggressive child to begin with, they certainly need to pay special attention to what he/she is doing for fun.
And *all* parents need to sit down with their kids and explain right and wrong. I think many parents don't do this because they assume it is too obvious.
What do SimCity Societies and Second Life have in common?

Dec 26th 2007 8:46PM I've noticed that the SL bloggers on this site like to find little bits like this, insignificant references to Second Life or another virtual world, and then politely rip into it.
This is not Second Life news. This is a complaint about an unimportant quote. You guys are way too defensive of SL, and too eager to point out its superiority. Let SL speak for itself, and report about something that residents would actually care about.
No offense intended; I like reading this blog. But sometimes it gets old.
Why Second Life belongs at Massively

Nov 28th 2007 10:40PM Just my 2 cents... I much preferred reading SL Insider. With as many posts per day you guys have, it seems like it would make more sense to be writing for SLI, which is made specially for Second Life, rather than bother readers of Massively who don't care about it.
I can understand where they are coming from... I don't like scrolling through posts about WoW and whatnot looking for posts about Second Life, so I imagine others don't like being bombarded with five posts about SL a day... and maybe it is just me, but this website even seems to load slower than SLI.
Also as others have pointed out, it's true that there are some "unecessary" posts, info about how much money was spent in SL, ect... That's interesting to readers of SLI, but it doesn't fit in Massively.
In short, I would really like the SL writers on Massively to migrate to Second Life Insider again. Maybe one of you can stay behind to give some SL coverage here. :)

Sep 3rd 2007 7:14PM I had an experience simular to hers at Help Island Public- the helper gave a lazy answer to my question and went back to chatting with the other avatars around him, apparently all his buddies, ignoring me. Why do those people volunteer if they aren't interesting in helping? Luckily I found NCI some time after that.
