Day one: I arrive at Orientation Island and within seconds a fox-type avatar begins verbally assaulting me. I know it wasn’t my fault; I didn’t know how to chat yet. I don’t blame Linden for that BUT, would think they might have some mediators or auto-bouncers or something there. After this person pushed my avatar off the island about a dozen times and called me every name in the book I left to try another day.
Day two: I started the very confusing orientation process and was just beginning to earn some stars, when an I was approached by a female avatar that claimed to be underage and wanting sex. Great, I’ve logged about 1 hour and I’m involved in an virtual online pedophile sting. I left again.
Day three: Try orientation again, but the program doesn’t want to tutor anymore. All my stars (objectives) are gone and none of the touchy things are working. So I sent a ticket to Linden and they explained how to get off the Island using the transport button. Oh ,I never got my L250$ either.
Day four to current: Wandering around, broke learning how to use the commands at frustratingly slow pace. On the good side, Parrot Head Island gave me a free T-shirt and I figured out how to put it on.
Today is day five: I haven’t logged on yet but I would love to get some help to speed up my basic learning.
