Sep 20th 2007 9:14AM Dear Mr. Batiuk - I am a long time fan of FW. I am also a fan who knows what she wants. I want to feel some joy when I read a comic. Not a cartoon, a comic. FW is supposed to be more funny than sad, more uplifting than depressing. There is already so much pain and sadness in the world, and in our own lives. We read a comic to get some measure of relief from that pain. As I read FW each day, I am feeling like Lisa is good friend who is dying. Her tough demeanor and great attitude are positives. Her death is simply a tragedy.
