Sep 27th 2007 10:45PM I understand the artist wanting to do stories that are relevant and I appreciate the fact that this storyline is making more people aware. However, I was diagnosed with breast cancer 15 years ago and still live every day of my life with the knowledge that the disease could come back at any time and end that life. When I read the "funnies" I want to laugh, not cry. My 80 year old father, who has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer has stopped reading your strip because he can't deal with the pain it's causing. I'm not asking you to miraculously save the character's life, just please think of the people you're hurting for the sake of gaining more readers.
