This was, luckily, fixed after installing the latest drivers for my graphics adapter. I really like Windlight, I ran Windlight and the OnRez viewer next to another in order to compare the exact same location at the same time (using two user accounts) and the difference is really stunning.
On my wife's three year old Dell computer though, I can't even enable some of the more advanced options; the Intel adapter on that machine is not supported. Granted, it was one of the cheapest Dells around, but still.

Oct 24th 2007 10:30AM Agreed. Avatar portability could be very useful for instance when travelling from SL to an OpenSim hosted grid, Kaneva, or something like that, and there's no reason to decry it's usefullness because you might not want to use it.
