My name is Kimberly Farmer. I felt compelled to figure out a way to contact Robin Roberts. I tried the GMA website and I sent a message to them, but they only allowed 500 words...and what I have to say is rather lengthy... You see I grew up watching you on WLOX TV. In 1967 I was born at Keesler Air Force Base. 1985 I graduated Gulfport High. There was not a night that went by...that we did not watch the news at dinner...I thought it was so cool to have a "girl" sports caster... I never met you in person...but you have been a part of my life for a very, very long time. I now live in Black Mountain, NC, and watch you every morning on GMA. I cried this morning when they showed the segment about the town that dedicated their football game to you. I've been wanting to write you for some time...but that was the catalyst. "Just do it" I said...lol. You remind me of the "good times" back home...you have never changed...you have always been a funny...beautiful...compassionate person...who still remembers "where you came from". I just wanted to thank you for all the good memories and laughs...you always bring a smile or a happy tear. Take care of your self. I think you are the coolest! I would love to share my "Katrina" experience with you someday...but I don't think here is the forum for that.
