Vectorform submits landmarks and navigation beta for Second Life

Oct 3rd 2008 11:33AM LOL - I meant a browser like approach, not search engine approach. It's clearly time for the weekend! :)

Vectorform submits landmarks and navigation beta for Second Life

Massively

Oct 3rd 2008 11:29AM The way Landmarks work today is horrible and a "browser like" way of storing and accessing Landmarks (should be called favorites if you ask me) would be welcomed by nearly everyone. I do believe a search engine approach would be perfect. I want to see my teleport history, I want to use a back button, I want the search box right on top. Once the SL client will feel like a browser, new users will feel less lost when they first enter the world of Second Life.

SLeek, the Lightweight Client for SL

Second Life Insider

Jul 19th 2007 4:37PM Ah maybe I'll be able to run SLeek on my laptop as the current SL clients crashes every 10 minutes or so - perfect for on the road! :) You can't really compare a client app with a web app (Kat's) though. Instead of an AJAX client it would actually be nice to see a java client so you can actually walk around in second life without having to download anything.

Just Askin': Delayed referral bonuses

Second Life Insider

Jun 20th 2007 2:30PM I've been complaining for 8 months to LL about not getting any referral bonus. With the SLProfiles site that I'm running, I higly doubt that nobody has ever signed up with Second Life through our site. LOL - ask for your referral stats at LL and I promise you - nobody will ever get back to you with a result because the person why used to run the affiliate program isn't working for LL any more and nobody else seems to know how to query the database to get this result. Oh well - I gave up on it. 8 months of waiting seems to be long enough.

Teen Traditions: Attempting to Cross Over Into the Main Grid

Second Life Insider

Jun 14th 2007 4:25PM LOL - that was pretty neat. Now teens just sign up for the main grid and many even seem get a verified account without to much hassle. Times sure change!

Just Askin': First Life or Real Life?

Second Life Insider

Jun 4th 2007 3:39PM Actually, some people believe that their first life is actually their second life to make it even more complicated :)

Will SL Certification take off?

Second Life Insider

May 10th 2007 4:01PM I've always refused to take certifications in the real world so I certainly won't now. If people want to know how certified I am, I rather like to give them an example then a piece of paper. But yes, I'm sure people that like certification in the real world will most likely want one for SL as well.

Extra security for RL money but not big L$ transfers

Second Life Insider

May 4th 2007 5:48PM This new implemented security image on their website is actually screwing up a lot of automated processes. It broke our Friends Monitor program and others were automatically logging in to get their account history. I think you would actually be surprised how many people were automatically logging into their site to grab some kind of information and it would have been nice that we would have received a warning that this was going to happen.

Grid "unification" proposal

Second Life Insider

Apr 15th 2007 11:56AM To me it doesn't make any sense to have seperate grids as you should see Second Life as the internet of tomorrow. Needless to say mature content only belongs in mature areas AND Teens shouldn't be able to visit these areas.

LL Acknowledges Inventory Issues

Second Life Insider

Apr 14th 2007 11:28PM To Moo and Jaxi it happened at 10:50PM SLT - what a coincidence huh? Nicole Linden has clearly no clue as something like this is of course server related and not client related. LL knew about the problem but clearly didn't inform "Live Help" about it as they were completely clueless.
