A heart-healthy Sam's Club day
That's Fit
May 10th 2008 8:10AM Sam's is great for fruit! We make a weekly stop there and always end up with big watermelons, strawberries, grapes, bananas, apples, pineapples, melons, and more. Our fridge and counter tops are jammed with the stuff! It's expensive, but worth it.

Daily Fit Tip: Skip the creamy dressing
That's Fit
Apr 24th 2008 11:53AM If you add some juicy ingredients to your salad -- like tomatoes, and grapes -- you might not even need dressing. I used oil and vinegar for a long time and then realized I didn't need it all. The great thing about skipping the dressing is that you really get to taste the foods in your salad!

Doctors don't do email

Apr 24th 2008 8:02AM My oncologist and I email each other. We both find it convenient, compared to trying to talk on the phone or schedule an appointment for non-emergent issues. In fact, he gave me the post-cancer go-ahead to have my tummy tuck surgery over email. Now I think I may have signed some kind of waiver or something giving him permission to communicate in this manner.
