Just Askin': Does smiling count?

Dec 25th 2006 1:18AM I've actually always found the Avatar smiles to be kind of creepy looking.
Just Askin': How often do you change avatars?
Second Life Insider
Dec 18th 2006 9:39AM For he most part I retain the same basic look, though over time I have tweaked it a bit. However I regularly change y clothes and occasionally change my hair.
I rarely go for drastic changes. I have a Servbot Avatar I use sometimes if I'm building and I have a crappy Incredible Hulk Avatar I made one day that I'll jump into if someone is really bugging me but I always go back.

Sep 26th 2006 3:46PM I've been pushing the concept a lot but my wish is for the head and body to be seperate enteties. The hair is seperate. All your clothes are seperate. Why can't my head be seperate? This would alow me to change my body form and still keep my face.

Sep 22nd 2006 4:50PM WOW has really peaked my interest in general lately. Sadley, I barely have an hour a week to devote to playing any sort of game these days. I can't see paying ten bucks a month for that.

Sep 15th 2006 5:48PM I'm not much for furry avatars of any sort but I really like that guy's jacket in the first picture (the one with the funky head model). Any ideas on where to find a long coat like that. I've not actually been looking for one quite that long but I wouldn't mind having a jacket that actually extended down to say, hip level.

Overpopulation?

Sep 13th 2006 1:00PM I'd say most of the new accounts don't actually stick around. Almost everywhere I go seems deserted. When I visit someplace with lots of people most of them are just idleing in some sort of camping chair or dance pad. If we have 16,000 new accounts, where exactly are all these people?
Maybe a good system would be to delete inactive accounts after say, 30 days. On the other hand, I always hated this on Diablo 2. I tend to come and go from the game and like to play on Battle.net, but it's frustrating when I have to start all over every few months. Perhapse only new accounts are subject to this. If you don't log on for a period of 30 days within the first 60 days of sign up, your account gets deleted.
Heck, maybe there is already something like this in effect. it would be nice to get some real numbers on how many actual returning active users there are but I don't see how.

Sep 13th 2006 9:46AM I'm finding I have continual trouble finding a nice niche of friends personally. I've tried but every time I feel like I'm really hitting it off with somebody, they seem to unfriend me and ignore me.
I kind of wish I knew what I was doing wrong.
