Sep 10th 2006 7:54PM Pixel Pinup Online didn't even post about this.
Torrid's quarrel was with Lost, I thought, and that WAS resolved - but not eight months ago - Lost's skins were released like two and a half months ago. Mistress's quarrel was with Starley.
The only problem I have with you (and it's not that you didn't link externally, which you did) was that you seemed to imply quite explicitly that Starley/Lost/Ambyance2 somehow were at fault for Torrid's departure - when it was everyone else bitching about it.
I think you are a smart person, Aimee, and I don't blame you for being pissed about how your friend has been treated. I still think it's a load of shite how the blame seems to fall squarely on the shoulders of the wronged people in this blog entry, rather than the random jackasses calling for fire and brimstone.
The thing that's most interesting is the lack of emphasis on the fact that Torrid and Mistress have always been against texture ripping, and yet they've done it themselves. People are human, yes, but I really feel that as folks who supposedly set an example for the community, they should at least follow what they say.

As if I want a whole world of hurt poured down on my face! No thanks. I don't want a death threat either. What with you and everyone else shrilling about this death threat and saying "it's only eyeliner." Fuck that - you know full well it's not just about eyeliner. It's about having respect for your fellow content creators. It's about having the balls to stand up and say "Yes, I ripped a texture from someone who was supposedly my friend, and then lied about it. I'M SORRY."
Instead, the focus has been on the wronged party and their conduct, which has been civil, except for someone saying Torrid she should die. Well, someone said that to Starley too. And I'm quite sure, as are you, that none of the people who made those death threats were either of the directly involved parties.

Sep 10th 2006 4:49PM Your inflammatory BLOG post was a large reason as to why this whole thing escalated. "Casualty of war"? Please. So someone supposedly told Torrid she should die. Do you realize how many people have told Starley and Lost and Ambyance2 things along those lines?
Where did this comment appear? Was Torrid IMd this in SL? Did she get it as a comment on her blog? Well?
moo Money's quote is obviously placed in such a way that implies that Starley et. al. said those things to her. And nothing in your BLOG states that they didn't.
All parties have been quite civil to each other. It's extremely unfair of you to imply that the wronged (read: WRONGED) parties were somehow playing nasty. Grow up.
