Candice Michelle Should Stick to Playboy; WWE Is Too Dangerous

Fanhouse Backporch

Oct 25th 2007 2:12PM I think Candice, who was WWE Women's Champion recently, knew the risks of the moves she was doing. That's why they all get proper training. Bruises and bone breaking is part of the game ... it happens. This fall was just uglier than most.

Registering for SL from Other Sites

Second Life Insider

Dec 7th 2006 7:04AM Doesn't this give new users a false impression of Second Life? Let's say MTV created their virtual Laguna Beach in SL, wouldn't it be in their best interest to promote their little section of private sims, and not the whole world of SL as a whole?
Isn't that very anti-community and against the whole social aspect and goals of SL? Just concerned, that's all.

Nov 30th 2006 6:58AM As Borat would say, "es NICE! ... HIGH FIVE!"
I had a blast skating on the ice rink, busting impressive 360-flip jumps. Too bad the Christmas trees weren't for sale, I would have bought one for my land.

Do We Need Insurance?

Second Life Insider

Nov 29th 2006 7:36AM If you pair up a viewable/shareable transaction history and a viewable/shareable inventory window, you can pretty much prove an item has disappeared or been handed off to another avatar or intentionally deleted (is that in the history too?).

I think $1-2 per 1000 items insured is very fair. It would give the Lindens the money to build the resources to provide the insurance service as an optional safeguard for those who want it, and while it might not provide much profit-wise to them, it'll go a long way on the positive PR side.

If you want to make the system completely automatic, just work out a system in a future build to give every item/prim created a unique code (wait, is that already in the game?) and have those codes reflected in the transaction history. If an item goes missing, the insured user only needs to go back to the transaction history, where all of the item codes are stored, and send that code to his/her insurance "agent", who will restore the item, provided the item wasn't given away, sold or deleted as listed in the history.

Sounds easy enough to me. I say, bring on Linden Mutual!!! Maybe LL can even get a real-world insurance company to brand it, underwriting the startup costs. I can just see it now....State Farm agents' offices all over SL :-)
