May 5th 2007 10:13AM I have no probem with the additional flagging and lock downs, BUT I am not giving an unknown third party that amount of data, anyone can forge an identity with the right info and LL has listed three times what its needed to do that.

Mar 15th 2007 4:32AM I think a lot of people fall into the trap of thinking of SL as a sort of virtual country, a digital democracy. So they expect more from linden labs then they should, Sl is more like a giant backyard that LL has invited us to play in and can make up their own rules at any time. Which is fine by me cause I knew what I was signing up for.

Oct 21st 2006 5:26AM I don't agree with the credit card verification system, what you gain in security you lose in usability. Besides the fact that a large part of the population does not use them those that do are very protective of them. People applaud when events are run that cross from in world to in grid but the moment you limit it to people with credit cards only those events become far less likely. I really doubt that a university class that takes place in SL will have all students carrying credit cards. That being said, I can't think of a better verification system but I know I and a lot people I see everyday wouldn't be able to use SL if it went back to credit cards.
