Second Life Insider
Oct 4th 2006 3:21PM Caliandris,
It was a mistake on our part to contact you via your private email, but please know that it was done by accident. Our intent in sharing the announcement was simply to alert you to the upcoming SL event we thought would be of interest to your readers.
As PR professionals, we try never to "spam" reporters or bloggers with irrelevant information, in RL or SL. This was no exception.
Text 100 takes our Second Life presence very seriously, and we are doing our best to act as respectful, contributing members of the community. However, as we try to educate more and more people within our company, sometimes we will make mistakes.
Text 100 promoted Monday's presentation without payment, as a service to the educational community of SL. With more than 88 avatars attending, it was a big success. We are also hosting an event next week for PR professionals on our Island. What's more, we have held three global company meetings, where more than 400 Texties from around the world were introduced to SL for the first time.
We hope that many of these individuals will continue to explore virtual worlds and serve as concerned citizens themselves.
Again, my apologies on behalf of Text 100. We will limit any future communication with you or your colleagues to SL or to the proper channels via your blog.
With regards,
Smiddy Smails
Text 100
