Nov 6th 2006 10:32PM WTG guys. This kind of thing is happening all over the place with weather data. Usually it's done with radar data that is then rendered with a rain loop, instead of hourly updated surface data (and no... unless there is a special observation sent from the site, METARs won't change every 8 minutes. Only every hour, unless they are tapping into a live stream, which I seriously doubt. TV stations here in the US have been doing it for 15 years now. As a former broadcast meteorologist (and now podcast meteorologist), it's nice to finally see this being done in SL.
