Jun 24th 2008 10:44AM I'm a YUGE Toffler fanboy (of both Alvin + Heidi) and am thrilled to see you reference him, Brenda! Future Shock was one of the seminal works that influenced me when I forayed into electronic music (drawing a cue from the "techno rebels" before me), and I'm reading The Third Wave right now, with PowerShift next. I also really like Revolutionary Wealth — it has a lot of relevant ideas pertinent to knowledge workers in virtual worlds, including Second Life. :)

NBC's Zucker says ratings don't matter anymore

TV Squad

May 11th 2008 1:44PM The headline's not what Zucker said. As quoted within this article, Zucker mentioned "it's not *just* about the ratings anymore", my emphasis. Also, he said: "It doesn’t mean the ratings aren’t still important."

May 10th 2008 7:15PM Delicious! Thanks for sharing, I was really inspired by this. I like how it goes through different phases of showcasing various apps, and doesn't get repetitious.

Who's the girl in the video? She doesn't look like the actual singer.

Apr 2nd 2008 8:22PM Oh thanks for the mention Moo! It's appreciated! *waves and smiles* I keep making video tutorials because I keep being asked to. =^_^=

Re: pronoun thing, both he, she, it, xe, and others are just fine with me. As long as it's clear you're referring to me (and not someone that just LOOKS like me, muhahaha), I'm cool with that. By now, I have over 50+ avatars, they're like a United Colors of Watermelon or something.

The Daily Grind: Optioning IP

Dec 20th 2007 12:08AM I see a lot of fantastic ideas here! I'm a fan of many things cyberpunk, and after I gorged on Deus Ex 2: Invisible War for 3+ days straight, I wanted an MMO to sate my continued appetite. (It didn't happen and the supposed DX multiplayer game apparently became Project Snowblind, and then I discovered Second Life... but that's another story).

The current cyberpunk-y MMOs out there haven't exactly fit my preferred criteria for immersion. They either take place too far in the future, or are in a world I can't relate to much (e.g., The Matrix).

I like Blade Runner and Diamond Age (how's that miniseries coming along?) *very much*.

In any case, this article lends itself to inspiring discussion!
