Residents angry and upset over large scale content loss [UPDATED]

Second Life Insider

May 23rd 2007 11:50AM Mikianna was having similar problems, though not as bad.

The sim would crash for two or three minutes, and when we got back in, portions of buildings would be stuffed at 1, 1, 1. Delinked.

They were always the same buildings, and there was no rhyme or reason to it.

It seems to have stabilized, but logging in is always an exercise in anticipation.

Voicing Displeasure in SL

Second Life Insider

Feb 23rd 2007 9:40PM I'd hate this.

Back when Yahoo first integrated voice chat, it wound up essentially ruining about half the conversation you could have in the rooms I frequented. Part of the reason I like SL is because I'm fairly hard of hearing, so having text chat makes life easier for me (and many others who are h.o.h.).

It may be useful for some people, but it would be impossible for many.

First Land program passes into history

Second Life Insider

Feb 20th 2007 5:42PM Rather than taking a simple step to prevent landflipping and abuse by alts, LL decided it'd be smart to do away with something.

Instead, they've basically taken one more thing away from the rapidly diminishing reasons to go premium.

In fact - /are/ there any reasons to go premium anymore?

Wonkette trashes Second Life protest

Feb 3rd 2007 1:01AM I am no more worried about Wonkette's opinions regarding SL than anyone else's. They don't impact my second life.

More like "Desperate Family Hopes Noted Anti-Industry Blowhard Might Help".

I have to agree - is this a serious article?
