Aug 24th 2007 8:21PM Another option would be for Linden Labs to issue a "builders set" of 20-30 approved megaprims of useful sizes for builders. Like 50x50x.5m or 100x10x.25m or something like that. Assorted sizes for creating large floors, roofs, banks of windows, ground surfaces... The list goes on. They wouldn't have to include 1024m-wide sphere, or the 65,535mx65,535m "endless ground" prim.

I'd also really like to see megaprims able to be truly hollow (for making room for elevators in the floor/ceilings of buildings, for example, or so you can make a 50x50x50m cube that's hollow inside). Currently you can make them *look* hollow, but they're still solid.

Maybe someday...

Jul 31st 2007 3:58PM Trying again... Not really an avatar-related story, but watching my mom attempt to play a driving/racing game on my PC was always fun for a laugh. She was terrible at them, though you didn't want to challenge her to a puzzle/word game. She'd take you to school!

Jun 22nd 2007 10:02PM I've gotten several errors trying to log on tonight. The one you got, "Failed to connect to a simulator," and "Unable to connect to Second Life. The system may be down..." *sigh* I should have gone out for dessert after all.
