Megaprims on the loose again
Massively
May 10th 2008 9:06PM I've created a bunch of different ones myself, I can create any random size anybody asks for to prove that they're new. If anybody knows how to get libsecondlife installed, and succesfully run the TestClient.exe example program, you can create megaprims really easily by manually creating a prim in-world and getting the UUID using an LSL script, then logging in with TestClient and exporting the prim to an xml file. Then modify the Scale values, and re-import the prim. Log back in with the regular viewer and you will find a megaprim of the desired size.
Of course, if you have an alt account you can do this while logged in with your main account, making it much quicker.

Mainland auctions get more expensive
Second Life Insider
Aug 1st 2007 12:59PM The last sim to go for its starting price was back in November, so this won't make much difference to revenues.
However, I guess LL can only assume it will get the starting price when writing its balance sheets. Doing this has just increased its recordable future income from auctions by 25%, despite nothing really changing.

Apr 25th 2007 6:14PM Hmmm, wonder if there's a former Linden whose other name sounds a bit like cube, and happened to have made the color-changing cube at the waterhead welcome area...

Akela's Wishlist: Change the Login Screen
Second Life Insider
Mar 5th 2007 7:27AM It's also a bit odd that for a company that promotes the concept of user-generated content, the login screen shows a scene with absolutely no user-generated content.
