Lab wants users to walk the walk

Massively

Jul 12th 2008 12:14PM If you want to keep the duck walk (I personally always used it) you can just download the BVH file from SL's download page, upload it at a higher priority than the default walk.

Mitch Kapor's SL5 keynote and the Linden Prize

Massively

Jul 7th 2008 1:05PM I wonder if that $10,000 prize is actually going to cost them anything at all, since they're paying in L$.

Over 2.5m L$ might trigger one heck of a risk assessment block :D

Intergrid permissions, with Xan Linden

Massively

Jun 28th 2008 2:12AM I'm not worried about people taking avatars and other content to different grids, more worried about full permissions being granted when doing so.

Linden Lab puts out new newbie avatars

Massively

Jun 8th 2008 1:59PM Did LL ever announce that they were accepting submissions for new starter avatars?

Considering the amount of advertising the creators are getting, it would have been nice to know if it in advance so I could take part.

High-end graphics features planned for Second Life

Massively

May 29th 2008 8:26AM Thanks for the link!

I never thought I would see the day we got real shadows in SL.

I sure hope they can code in correct shadows for sculpts though, or we could have some issues. Maybe even add "casts shadow" as an optional tag in the Features tab of objects.

May 24th 2008 11:42AM I visited REC last night (the picture of this article)

It was pretty darn fun, very clever use of camera and the build was well textured! Watching the trailer at the end of the experience you could see how well the build matched the actual film.

More film promotions in SL should be done this way!
