Jun 24th 2008 11:52AM Thanks for the links! Can't say that I've seen peanut butter cup ice cream, but I could see how tempting a combo that is.

FDA considers clearer food label symbols

The Cardio Blog

Sep 13th 2007 10:14AM One of the best ideas to come out of the FDA in a good long while. This is infinitely preferable to shallow marketing claims like "wholesome" and "lean" on the front of packages.

How to get rid of the midnight munchies

That's Fit

Jul 20th 2007 11:55AM The best tip for dealing with the midnight munchies (aside from teaching yourself to go to bed and/or be more disciplined) is to drink a large glass of water immediately, before you eat anything. Often our cravings are because we are dehydrated. And a full belly of water makes the thought of eating pretty unpalatable.

Jul 3rd 2007 11:23PM Thank you so much for the nice coverage, Diane. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece. (P.S. I wasn't always so disciplined about the carbs. When I was a marathoner I'd eat a carton of ice cream every night. By myself. Yes.)

Got lots of bad habits? Quitting them all at once works best

That's Fit

Jun 26th 2007 12:00PM I think it's because all self-destructive habits come from the same psychological/emotional root. The act of a bad habit is simply the external manifestation of something going on inside. So quitting all habits and getting therapy for them radically changes the entire "root". Make sense? That's what I think.
