What would you change for support?

Second Life Insider

Jun 19th 2007 9:26PM I hear that LL has outsourced support. If that is true. I have yet to see any company that improved the quality of their support group by outsourcing it. I say LL should bring support back into the main core of their business. In other words, keep it close to their core competency .. outsourcing support is plain wrong, and it's a bad business practice. If on the other hand, they have not outsourced support . .then they are completely dropping the ball here ... hey who is the person incharge of support? .. What does she or he have to say?

May 17th 2007 9:48AM It seems obvious that LL needs to beef up their pre-release testing processes. They are implementing and releasing software with very obvious bugs. That seems to suggest their project management is very weak. On the good side, they have come a long way with their own brand of distributed loosely-coupled software development process.
