Thoughts on Ageplay

Second Life Insider

May 13th 2007 2:15AM I do not know what goes on in Second Life. I have never used it. However, I do age roleplaying in real life. I play the role of a little girl. I would like to point out a fundamental flaw in the arguments of Cristiano, which is he seems to think that ageplay is oriented around those who wish to play the role of adult interacting with an adult playing the role of a child.

The vast majority of ageplayers are those who wish to play the role of the child, and the communities are oriented towards those in the child role. Caretakers are few and far between, and most of them are converted by someone who wants a mommy or daddy.

To imply that ageplay is about adults who wish to prey upon those in child roles is backwards. What adults wish to do while playing the role of a child is another question entirely. But the fact is that they are adults in real life.

I do not know what goes on in Second Life. One day I might check it out. But from the prespective of a real life ageplayer, this article is a good description of ageplay in general.
